Days 1 & 2 – Arrival in Los Cabos & Humpback Whale Watching

Each year, from December to April, Cabo San Lucas becomes a sanctuary for hundreds of migrating humpback whales. Witness the breathtaking spectacle of these ocean giants—some weighing up to 40 tons—as they breach the surface in dramatic displays. Thanks to our onboard hydrophone system, you’ll also have the unique opportunity to listen to their mesmerizing underwater songs. You may even spot newborn calves beginning to explore the calm waters of Cabo.

Day 3 – Snorkeling in Cabo Pulmo
Located on the eastern coast of Baja California, Cabo Pulmo is home to one of the oldest and best-preserved coral reefs in the Northern Hemisphere. Designated as a national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this biodiversity gem offers an unforgettable snorkeling experience in the heart of the Sea of Cortez—famously nicknamed “the aquarium of the world” by Jacques Cousteau.

Days 4 to 6 – Whale Shark Encounter in La Paz
Continue your journey to La Paz, a charming coastal city highly appreciated by our travelers. Begin with some თავისუფ exploration of the surrounding area, including the stunning Balandra Bay, known for its turquoise waters and pristine landscapes.
Next, get ready for an extraordinary wildlife encounter. Whale sharks—the largest fish in the world—can grow up to 12 meters in length. Each year, nearly 100 juvenile whale sharks migrate to the Bay of La Paz during the winter months to feed and seek shelter.
From October to April, you’ll have the choice to observe these gentle giants from the boat or, for a truly unforgettable experience, enter the water in small groups of up to five people to swim alongside them. This safe and respectful interaction allows you to witness their grace up close.

Days 7 to 9 – Loreto: Between Blue Whales and Gray Whales
Upon arriving in Loreto, a charming colonial town nestled between the Sierra de la Giganta and the Sea of Cortez, you’ll immediately feel a sense of მშვიდ tranquility. Colorful streets, a peaceful waterfront, and the warm hospitality of locals give this destination its authentic charm. After a stroll through the historic center and a delicious dinner of fresh seafood by the ocean, you’ll head to bed with excitement—tomorrow, your adventure with the giants of the sea begins.
Early in the morning, set off from the harbor for an unforgettable boat excursion into the Loreto Marine Park, a sanctuary for the blue whale—the largest animal ever to have lived on Earth. Silence fills the air as your guide scans the horizon… then suddenly, a powerful spout rises from the sea. A blue whale emerges—calm, majestic, awe-inspiring. The boat keeps a respectful distance, in accordance with observation guidelines, yet the emotion of the moment is overwhelming.
The following day, journey to the Pacific coast for a completely different experience in Magdalena Bay, a breeding ground for gray whales. Here, these gentle giants often approach the boats, curious and playful. Some even come close enough to be touched. This rare and intimate encounter with such magnificent creatures is a truly unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Day 10 – Return to La Paz & Relaxation
After several magical days in Loreto, it’s time to hit the road back to La Paz. The journey follows the Sea of Cortez and takes you through stunning desert landscapes dotted with giant cacti, rugged mountains, and turquoise coves. The drive takes approximately 6 to 7 hours, so be sure to plan a few stops along the way.
The village of San Javier, perched in the Sierra de la Giganta, is well worth a detour for its beautifully preserved Jesuit mission and timeless atmosphere. As you approach La Paz, the scenery becomes more vibrant, signaling your return to a lively coastal city with a relaxed, small-capital feel.
Once you arrive, don’t miss a sunset stroll along the Malecón—perfect for enjoying an ice cream while watching the sky’s colors reflect over the bay.

Day 11 – Departure from Cabo San Lucas
Your Mexican getaway comes to an end. Enjoy a smooth drive to San José del Cabo Airport to return your rental car. You can then proceed to your airline’s check-in counter for your return flight.

When to travel ?
Baja California Sur enjoys a sunny desert climate year-round, with very little rainfall. Temperatures vary by season, but it is almost always a pleasant destination to visit.
The best time to travel is from November to April, when temperatures are mild—perfect for exploring coastal towns, beaches, and desert landscapes. This is also whale season, a true highlight of the region.
Summer is hot to very hot, especially in July and August, with temperatures often exceeding 35°C (95°F). The rainy season, although short, runs from August to October and may bring tropical storms or hurricanes, particularly in September.
